(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County Detachment investigated an incident at an Irish Line, Haldimand County, Ontario address.
On Friday, August 21, 2015 at approximately 3:04 p.m., police received a call from concerned employees of the Haldimand County Roads Department after several road signs were damaged.
Through the course of investigation it was determined the in the early morning hours of Friday, August 21, 2015, unknowns damaged several road signs consisting of stop signs, stop ahead signs and checkerboard signs. The signs that were damaged or removed from the ground were located on Irish Line between River Road and Haldimand Road 20.
The damage is estimated at approximately $500 dollars.
This is extremely dangerous to the motoring public and could have caused a serious or even fatal collision for anyone not familiar with the roadways in Haldimand County.
