(BRANT TWP, ON) – On August 25, 2015 at 2:05 p.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol stopped a White Chevrolet Cruze. The officer found that the driver’s licence was suspended and a large number of credit cards were noticed in the car.
Members of the South Bruce OPP crime unit assisted the officer at the road side. The investigation culminated with the arrest of two males.
Twenty-six year old Carlos TAPIA of Toronto has been charged with drive while suspended, possess a controlled substance, 2 counts of possess stolen property and possess device to copy credit cards.
Twenty-nine year old Daniel GRANDON of Mississauga has been charged with possess a controlled substance, utter forged document, 2 counts of possess stolen property, possess device to copy credit cards and breach of probation.
A large quantity of pre-paid credit cards and gift cards were seized from the vehicle.
Both men were held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for August 26, 2015.
