(PEMBROKE, ON) – On September 2, 2015 a member of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was conducting radar enforcement on Highway 17 in the Township of Laurentian Hills. In the area of Clouthier Road a vehicle was caught travelling at a speed of 146 km/h in a 90 km/h zone on Highway 17. The vehicle was stopped and as a result the driver, 38 year old Darin VAN HOOF of Petawawa has been charged under the stunt driving legislation in the Highway Traffic Act. The man’s driver’s license was suspended for 7 days and his vehicle was towed and impounded for 7 days. VAN HOOF was served a summons to appear on November 2, 2015 at the Ontario Provincial Offences Court in Pembroke.
