Stolen Vehicle Recovered – Patrick J. CHIASSON Charged

(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On September 1st, 2015 at approximately 11:45 a.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a motor vehicle westbound on Mosley Street that had been previously reported stolen from the Kingston area.

This motor vehicle was observed traveling at a high rate of speed on Mosley Street heading westbound in the eastbound lanes and failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection of Mosley Street and 18th Street. Police were able to stop this motor vehicle on Dunkerron Avenue however the male driver and male passenger became aggressive and resisted being arrested but were apprehend. A further investigation into both revealed that the passenger had quantity of Cannabis Marihuana and the driver was disqualified from driving and wanted by another Police Service for a previous crime.

Charged with “Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle”, “Flight while pursed by a Peace Officer”, “Drive while Disqualified”, “Unlawfully at Large” and “Possession of Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5000” is Patrick J. CHIASSON 25 years old from Meaford, Ontario. OPP have also charged Isaac RITCHIE 58 years old from Springwater Twp. with “Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Cannabis Marihuana” and both accused with “Resist Peace Officer.”
