(Essa Township, ON) – On Saturday September 5, 2015 at 6:35 p.m Nottawasaga OPP were dispatched to serious collision at the intersection of 10 line and 25th side road in Essa Township. Essa Township Fire Department and Simcoe County EMS responded as well.
Preliminary Investigation reveals a northbound Chevrolet Impala Sedan t-boned with a westbound Volkswagen sedan that failed to stop at a stop sign. The Volkswagen sedan was sent in the ditch.
The three occupants of the Volkswagen were trapped because of severe damage in their vehicle. Essa Fire Department members extricated the occupants from the Volkwagen sedan.
The occupants of all vehicles were transported by Simcoe County EMS to a nearby
Hospital with serious injuries. Police are continuing to investigate this incident and charges are pending.
