(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On September 6, 2015 at approximately 1:26 p.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer observed a male driving a 2003 Toyota on Eramosa Road near Promenade Road, Guelph that was well above the posted 50 km/h speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 108km/h.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
19-year-old Hussain AL-HOMEDAWY of Waterloo has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on November 18, 2015.
