(CITY OF KAWARTHA LAKES, ON) – A recent vehicle stop conducted by the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) resulted in a Scarborough man facing two Highway Traffic Act (HTA) charges.
On September 14, 2015 an OPP officer observed a vehicle travelling at 160 km/h in an 80 km/h zone on Highway 35 and subsequently stopped the vehicle.
As a result of the investigation Andrew PAYNE, 34 years of age, of Scarborough was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle and Drive while Suspended both contrary to the HTA. The accused will appear in Lindsay court on October 13, 2015.
