(CALEDON, ON) –Officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were busy investigating two separate incidents at Caledon secondary schools yesterday.
At the time of the occurrences they were deemed separate incidents. Through our investigation, officers have determined that they were related and report that an arrest was made late last night by the officers from the Major Crime Unit. Police are confirming that a robbery occurred in the vicinity of Humberview Secondary School and the investigation is still on-going. One of the victims suffered a minor injury and did not require hospitalization
A 17-year old Brampton male was arrested and charged with 2 counts of Robbery and 2 counts of Use an Imitation Firearm in the Commission of an Offence.
The young person was held in custody overnight and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Orangeville later today.
His name is being withheld due to provisions under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
