Hero Citizen Prevents Drunk Driver From Hitting The Streets

(ORILLIA, ON) – The Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has charged a female with impaired driving in the City of Orillia.

On September 24, 2015 at approximately 12:06 a.m., Orillia OPP officers were called to an address on Hilda Street for a possible impaired driver. When officers arrived at the scene they located a female in a vehicle that had been blocked in by another driver.

Witnesses stated that the female had been drinking and that she had backed into a parked vehicle. Before the vehicle could leave someone at the address blocked its access to the road. Officers arrested the female after she failed a roadside breath test.

Kandice SNOWDON, 19 years old of Orillia, has been charged with Impaired Driving and Over 80 milligrams Blood/Alcohol.

The OPP would like to thank the public for their quick thinking that kept an impaired driver off of our roadways.
