(PEMBROKE, ON) – On the morning of September 27, 2015 members of the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a complaint of a possible impaired driver on Isabella Street in the City of Pembroke. Police located the vehicle parked on Isabella Street and the male driver was arrested due to being impaired by a drug. The male was also found to be in possession of a quantity drugs. As a result Jason Noel LAUNDRIE, age 42 of North Algona – Wilberforce Township, is charged with the following Criminal Code offences:
· Impaired (Drug) Care and Control of a Motor Vehicle
· Refuse Drug Evaluation Demand
LAUNDRIE is also charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Fentanyl
· Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking -Methamphetamine
He was held for a bail hearing on September 28, 2015 at the Ontario Court of Justice in Pembroke.
