(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – On September 28, 2015 at approximately 8:30 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were notified of a parking complaint.
A blue Ford pickup truck was parked in the 100 block of Queen Street, blocking the end of a residential driveway.
Prior to police arrival, the male driver attended the vehicle, and left travelling eastbound on Queen Street.
Police located the motor vehicle at a residence on Cromarty Drive. Officers determined the driver had been drinking alcohol. A roadside screening device was administered, and the driver registered a “fail”. The male was placed under arrest, and transported to a Middlesex County OPP detachment for further breath testing.
As a result of the investigation, 50-year-old Jamie ESLER, from Thames Centre, Ontario, has been charged with care or control over 80 mgs, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.
The accused was released by way of a Promise to Appear, and is scheduled to answer to the charge in a London court on November 3, 2015.
