(Hwy# 62 Belleville, ON) – On September 30, 2015 at 8:40 p.m. a member of Central Hastings O.P.P observed a northbound pickup truck passing several other northbound vehicles on Highway #62, north of Ashley Street in the City of Belleville. Police stopped the pickup truck for speeding as it was travelling 141 kilometres per hour in a posted 60 kilometre construction zone.
As a result, 17 year old male driver of Belleville, ON was charged with Operate a Motor Vehicle While Performing a Stunt – Speeding contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. His driver’s licence was seized and his vehicle was impounded both for a period of seven days.
