(CENTRE WELLINGTON TOWNSHIP, ON) – On October 7, 2015 at approximately 5:47 p.m. members of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) observed a Pontiac Sunfire travelling on Metcalfe Street in Elora at a high rate of speed and fail to stop at a stop sign.
A traffic stop was conducted and investigation revealed that the male driver was in possession of over 20 grams of marihuana.
22-year-old Mitchell ARNEW of Fergus has been charged with Possession of Marihuana Under 30 Grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Fail to Stop at Stop Sign contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on November 17, 2015 to answer to the charges.
