(WEST PARRY SOUND, ON) – On October 6, 2015, members of the West Parry Sound Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a call advising that a vehicle had collided with a rock cut at Lake Joseph Road and Hamer Bay Road in Seguin Township. Investigation revealed that at approximately 11:49 p.m. a vehicle left the roadway and hit a large rock. The female driver then left on foot travelling on Hamer Bay Road. An OPP K-9 Unit and members of the Emergency Response Team (ERT) attended to assist with the track.
The driver, Erin CHISHOLM, 36 years of age from Walden was arrested and charged with:
· Fail to remain contrary to the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).
· Careless Driving contrary to the HTA.
The accused will appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Parry Sound on November 17, 2015 to answer to her charges.
