Drug Bust In Grand Bend

(LAMBTON SHORES, GRAND BEND, ON)- On October 14, 2015 members of The Ontario Provincial Police Street Crimes Unit (OPP), as a result of an extensive investigation had occasion to arrest a male for possession for the purpose of trafficking in a Narcotic.

On this day at approximately 10:10 a.m. the OPP arrested a 35 year old male who had been located within the parking lot of a Grand Bend, Ontario business.

As a result of this investigation Steven AVERILL was found to be in possession of several un-prescribed Fentanyl Patches. Steven AVERILL, 35 years of age of St. Clair Township was arrested for possession of a controlled substance for the purpose of trafficking contrary to Section 5(2) of The Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Steven AVERILL was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing at the Sarnia Court House on October 15, 2015.

The OPP completely supports Lambton’s recent initiative and continued involvement in the Patch 4 Patch Program. The OPP is hopeful that over time the Patch 4 Patch Program will curb the unlawful use of Fentanyl within the County of Lambton.
