(CALEDON, ON) – On October 17th, 2015 at 5:07 am, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Caledon Fire Service and EMS were called to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision on Airport Road.
Preliminary investigation has revealed that a driver of a passenger vehicle rear-ended a tractor trailer. The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured.
Airport Rd between Mayfield Road and Old School Road closed and Mayfield Road between Torbram Road and The Gore Road remain closed while OPP Technical Traffic Investigators conduct their investigation.
The investigation is still on-going and details will be released as they become available.
