(ONEIDA NATION OF THE THAMES FIRST NATION, ON) – Members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest in relation to the murder of 66-year-old Carson IRELAND of Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation.
The incident occurred on December 21, 2014 at approximately 3:00 p.m. when members of the Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police and Middlesex OPP responded to a shooting. At this time police discovered the deceased and the homicide investigation ensued.
Today, October 22, 2015, the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) under the direction of Detective Inspector Heidi Stewart and members of the Middlesex OPP Crime Unit and Oneida Nation of the Thames First Nation Police has arrested an adult male in relation to the murder.
The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending further investigation by police.
