(BRACEBRIDGE, ON) – Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a complaint from a motorist about another vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Highway 11 North in Bracebridge on Monday morning, October 26th, 2015 just after 11:00 a.m.
Police located and stopped the vehicle travelling on Highway 11 North near Cedar Lane and subsequently arrested and charged 63 year-old Steven JOHNSTONE of Gravenhurst with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle CC 253(1)(a) and Over 80 CC 253 (1)(b). He will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on December 1st, 2015 to answer to his charges. The accused received an immediate 90 day driver’s licence suspension and further had his vehicle towed and impounded.
