(TOWN OF ERIN, ON) – On November 6, 2015 at approximately 2:03 p.m., a member of the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Traffic Management Unit (TMU) was conducting speed enforcement on Side Road 17 near the Eighth Line, Town of Erin. The officer observed a male driving a Ford van well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 103 km/h in a 50 km/h zone.
His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.
31-year-old Lavar BLAKE has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act. He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on January 6, 2015.
