Driver Evades Police After Almost Ramming Police Cruiser

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is asking the public’s assistance in identifying the driver of a black Ford F150 pick-up truck after a dangerous driving incident which occurred last Thursday night in the Municipality of Grey Highlands involving an OPP officer.

On Thursday, November 12, 2015 at approximately 6:00 p.m., a Grey County OPP officer was seated inside an OPP cruiser parked in a lot located at the intersection of Grey Rd. 13 and Pellisier St. in Eugenia when a Ford F150 pick-up truck failed to follow the curve on Grey Rd. 13 and instead drove, intentionally, directly straight towards the cruiser before quickly swerving to the left of it.

The officer activated the cruiser’s emergency lights and proceeded after the Ford, which failed to stop, and continued to drive throughout the village at excessive speeds. For safety reasons the pursuit was discontinued. The Ford was last seen southbound on Grey Rd. 13.

The suspect vehicle is described as a black, Ford F150 diesel pick-up truck, between 2010 – 2014, having white roof lights and lights along the rear bumper.

Anyone with information which may assist in identifying this vehicle and or the driver is asked to contact Grey County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
