Wingham Police report that during the early morning hours of 12 July, police broke up a party involving more than 100 youths in the area of Cornyn Street. There was underage drinking involved at the party and police laid several charges under the Liqour License Act. Several of the youths ran from police and hid in back yards etc. Police would like to remind parents of youths that allow such parties that underage drinking is not permitted and they could be held liable for any damages caused by the party goers in the surrounding areas.
