On Saturday August 15th 2015 at approximately 2:35 AM an altercation occurred between two men in the 900 block of 2nd Avenue East.
The altercation lead to one of the men falling and striking his head on the pavement, causing a significant gash to his head. Bystanders initially went to the aid of the man. Police were in the immediate area of the incident and took the second man into custody.
The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. He was treated for the gash as well as a broken nose.
A 20 year old Owen Sound man has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. He has been released from custody on an undertaking and will appear in court in September to face the charge.
