5:19 pm police received a complaint of marihuana plants growing in the Southampton area. Police attended and pulled two mature five foot marihuana plants.

8:25 am police received a report of a vehicle driving erratically in Southampton. The vehicle was located and stopped. The driver failed a roadside breath test and was taken to the police station for breath tests. The driver provided breath alcohol readings of 160 mgms and 150 mgms. The legal limit is 80 mgms. A 29 year-old Kingston man faces Drive over 80 mgms charges, his vehicle was towed and he received a 90 day ADLS drivers licence suspension.
8:30 am police received a report of a collision that happened on the 1st of August. A vehicle was exiting the parking lot of the Southampton Beer Store and was rear ended by another vehicle exiting the lot.
11:10 am a Gobles Grove resident found several 911 signs that had been removed and thrown on a lawn. The signs were returned.
4:58 pm police received a report of a motor vehicle collision where a vehicle was backing from a private drive and struck a parked vehicle on the road.
10:05 pm a bike was reported stolen from the rear of Chester’s Bar overnight on the 9th of August.

12:46 pm police responded to a break and enter to a Southampton cottage. Entry to the cottage was made through a small window. Nothing appeared to be taken.
12:50 pm a vehicle tire had been slashed with what appeared to be a utility knife while parked in Port Elgin.
2:03 pm police responded to a single vehicle collision on Concession #6. A vehicle left the roadway, struck some guardrails and spun the vehicle around. The driver was taken by ambulance to hospital to be checked out. Police are investigating.
11:52 pm police responded to a cyclist that crashed his bicycle on Goderich St. The male was bleeding from a cut on his head and nose. The male was also intoxicated and refused medical attention. He spent some time in the cell until picked up by his father.

2:14 pm police received a report of a cyclist being struck at the Giant Tiger parking lot exit to Goderich St. The female cyclist was not hurt and her bike was not damaged. A vehicle exiting the parking lot struck the cyclist in the front tire and leg area, the cyclist did not fall over. No charges.
15 Aug 2015,
1:08 am a female took a taxi from Owen Sound to Port Elgin. She had no money to pay for the cab and the driver called police. The female was charged with Transportation Fraud but given an opportunity to pay her bill.
9:49 am police responded to a motor vehicle collision on Bruce Rd #3 and The River Road. A vehicle was south on County Rd #3 and was struck by a vehicle entering the roadway from The River Road. Both vehicles were towed, minor injuries. The driver entering County Rd #3 was charged with Failing to Yield.
12:42 pm police responded to a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle at Green and Goderich St. A vehicle was east on Green St stopped for a red light at Goderich St. The vehicle was making a right hand turn to go south and proceeded. A 29 year-old pregnant female was walking north on the west sidewalk entering the intersection with her 5 year-old son. The vehicle struck the pedestrian knocking her to the ground. The female was taken to hospital with scrapes on her arm. The driver of the vehicle was charged with Failing to Yield to Pedestrian and received a $180 fine.
2:08 pm two wooden posts were removed from a pathway leading to the beach at Gobles Grove.
4:08 pm police received a complaint of a motor vehicle collision where a vehicle backed out of a driveway and backed into a vehicle parked on the road.
10:03 pm a vehicle north on County Rd #3 struck a raccoon causing damage to the front of a vehicle.

9:26 am sometime overnight a park bench was stolen from the front lawn of a property on Green St and put on the roof of a neighbouring trailer. The bench was returned. A smaller sign was also stolen from the property.
