Man Charged with Criminal Harassment CK15027865
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a man in connection with a domestic related investigation.
In April 2015, the man and woman ended their 12 year relationship. The man continued to text and email the woman derogatory comments. In July 2015, the woman contacted police to report the messages and the man was cautioned regarding his behavior.
Yesterday, the woman reported that the harassing emails did not stop. The 46-year-old Dresden man was taken into custody and charged with criminal harassment. He has been released with conditions pending a future court date of October 13, 2015.
Woman Charged with Assault CK15027888
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman regarding a disturbance in Wallaceburg.
Last night around 6:00 p.m. an argument began between the woman and her ex-boyfriend. The woman pushed the man and assaulted his girlfriend who was sitting in the car with her children.
The 24-year-old Wallaceburg woman has been charged with two counts of assault. She was released with conditions pending a future court date of October 2, 2015.
Woman Arrested on Outstanding Warrant CK15027852
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman wanted on an outstanding warrant.
On September 3, 2015, police responded to a domestic disturbance at a residence in Chatham. At this time, a man reported that he had been assaulted by his common-law girlfriend. The woman fled the home prior to police arrival. Attempts were made to locate the woman, however when unsuccessful, a warrant was issued for her arrest.
Yesterday morning, police located the woman and she was taken into custody. The 51-year-old Chatham woman has been charged with assault. She has been held in custody pending a bail hearing.
Woman Charged with Break and Enter CK15027854
The Chatham-Kent police have arrested a woman following a break and enter complaint yesterday morning.
Around 10:00 a.m. a homeowner on Talbot Trail observed the woman in her garage. The woman fled on foot taking a Disney blanket. Officers located the woman a short distance away carrying the blanket and she was taken into custody. Upon searching the woman incident to arrest, she was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and hydromorphone.
Tammera Schurman, 51 years, of Kathleen Avenue in Sarnia has been charged with break and enter, theft under $5000, possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000 and drug possession. She has been released pending a future court date of September 30, 2015.
Motor Vehicle Collision CK15027858
Around 11:40 a.m. yesterday morning, police responded to a two vehicle collision on Talbot Road East near Little Street North in Wheatley.
A 79-year-old woman sustained minor injuries. A 69-year-old man was charged with failing to yield the right of way.
