Man Charged with Mischief – CK15032799
Early Sunday morning, a Chatham resident noticed that four of his tires had been slashed following a disturbance with his neighbour. Damage was estimated at $8000.
Through investigation, a 42-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with uttering threats and mischief over $5000. He was released pending a future court date of November 20, 2015.
Man Charged with Theft – CK15029958
On October 3, 2015 around 4:30 a.m. police received a report of three suspicious men looking into vehicles on Robertson Avenue in Chatham. Officers located the men in the area of Harvey Street and Lacroix Street. Through investigation, one of the men was found to be in possession of a backpack containing property believed to have been stolen from vehicles.
Through investigation, police identified the owners of the property. Yesterday afternoon, the 20-year-old Chatham man was arrested and charged with three counts of theft under $5000 and one count of being in possession of property obtained by a crime under $5000. He was released pending a future court date of November 13, 2105. The other two men were identified as bystanders and not directly involved.
Woman Charged with Assault – CK15032898
Around 9:45 p.m. last night, police responded to a disturbance at a bar on King Street West in Chatham. A 24-year-old Chatham man reported that he had been assaulted by a woman while standing outside. He did not require medical attention.
Through investigation, police identified the woman and she was charged with assault. She was released pending a future court date.
Motor Vehicle Collision – CK15032823
At 8:55 a.m. yesterday morning, emergency crews responded to a two vehicle collision on Bloomfield Road between Eighth Line and Seventh Line.
A 34-year-old Chatham woman was transported to the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for medical attention. Damage was estimated at $30,000.
A 78-year-old Raleigh Township man was charged with making a turn not in safety.
Stolen ATV – CK15032871
Sometime between October 25th at 5:00 p.m. and November 1st at 5:30 p.m. unknown suspect(s) stole a silver 2002 Polaris ATV valued at $3000 from a residence on Grande River Line in Dover Township. The ATV was last seen with Ontario license plate 8AE54.
