24 Year Old From Huron Park Struck And Killed

(MIDDLESEX, ON) – Middlesex Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers are currently investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian and pick-up truck.

The collision occurred at approximately 7:35 p.m. on November 13th, 2015 on Richmond Street North (Hwy #4) between Eight Mile and Nine Mile Rd. Middlesex Centre, Ontario.

At the time of the collision a pick-up truck, being driven by a 62 year old male from Middlesex Centre, was traveling North on Richmond Street when the vehicle struck a male walking north in the northbound lane of Richmond St.

The pedestrian, a 24 year old male from Huron Park, was transported to hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

Release of deceased name is pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the pick-up was not injured in the collision

OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are on scene assisting with determining the cause of the collision. The investigation is currently ongoing.

Traffic is currently being re-directed via Wonderland Rd. Richmond Street North is anticipated to re-open around midnight.
