Douglas CARNEGIE – Drunk Driving, Vehicle Theft

(LEAMINGTON, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Leamington received a call regarding a motor vehicle collision on Seacliff Drive West in the Town of Leamington on November 16, 2015 at approximately 3:50 p.m.

Officers arrived to discover that three vehicles had been involved and were blocking traffic.

Police spoke to the driver of a Ford truck that was involved in the crash. He exhibited signs of impairment and was issued a Roadside Screening Device Demand of which he “failed”.

He was arrested at the scene.

No one else was injured in the crash.

Douglas CARNEGIE, age 37 of Leamington, was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content as well as Take Motor Vehicle Without Consent, as the truck he was driving did not belong to him.

He will appear in a Leamington court on December 3, 2015 to answer to the charges.
