Pete MATTIUZ – Drunk Driving

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment has charged a 59 year old male with impaired driving and other related offence at a Hines Road, Dunnville, Haldimand County, ON address.

On Saturday November 21st, 2015 at approximately 2:01pm, members of the Haldimand County OPP, along with Haldimand County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Haldimand County Fire Department, responded to an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) collision.

Upon speaking with the un-injured driver, Officers could detect several signs of impairment on the driver. A female passenger was taken to a local Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

As a result of the investigation the driver of the ATV identified as 59 year old Pete MATTIUZ of Hamilton, ON has been charged with Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle, Operate Motor Vehicle with over the legal limit of alcohol, Driving while disqualified, Drive off-road vehicle with no insurance, and Fail to wear proper helmet. He is to appear in Provincial Court, Cayuga, ON at a later date to answer to the charges.
