(Odessa, ON)- On Sunday, November 22nd, 2015, at 5:35 p.m. officers with the Loyalist OPP were dispatched to a traffic complaint on Highway 401 eastbound, west of Napanee.
The OPP Communications Centre had received several erratic driving complaints regarding a dark green Honda Civic bearing a Quebec licence plate.
At 5:50 p.m. police located and stopped the suspect vehicle near County Road 6, Loyalist Township.
As a result of the police investigation the driver of the vehicle, 36 year-old Prashant SIVABALARATHANAM, of Montreal, was arrested and subsequently charged with Impaired Driving, Over 80 mgs, Dangerous Driving, and Having Open Liquor in a Motor Vehicle.
A passenger in the vehicle was also charged with Having Open Liquor in a Motor Vehicle.
SIVABALARATHANAM was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to appear in Provincial Court in Napanee on December 22, 2015
