Arrest Made In Rash Of Break And Enters

(MDIDDLESEX COUNTY, ON) – On November 20, 2015, the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) arrested and charged a male in relation to nine incidents of residential break and enters in North Middlesex, Ontario:

June 12, 2014 in the 100 block of James Street

July 15, 2015 in the 100 block of Ailsa Craig Main Street

July 30, 2015 in the 100 block of Ailsa Craig Main Street

August 25, 2015 in the 100 block of William Street

August 25, 2015 on Robin Street

September 25, 2015 on Robin Street

November 14, 2015 in the 4200 block of Elginfield Road

November 19, 2015 in the 4200 block of Elginfield Road

November 19, 2015 in the 100 block of George Street

The property stolen in the incidents included Canadian currency, small electronics, and purses/wallets and contents. As a result of the police investigation, a quantity of Canadian currency and identification was recovered, and returned to its owner.

24 year old Daniel VANWYK, from North Middlesex, Ontario, has been charged with break and enter, dwelling house – commit indictable offence X7, and break and enter dwelling house with intent to commit indictable offence X2, contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was additionally charged under the Controlled Dugs and Substances Act (CDSA) with possession of schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams.

The accused is being held in custody, and is scheduled to answer to the charges in a London court on December 4, 2015.
