More Impaired Drivers Busted

(KENORA, ON) Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police have charged a male following a motor vehicle collision in Pellatt Township.

On Friday November 27, 2015 at approximately 4:30 pm, the Kenora OPP received a report of a single vehicle collision on Highway 596.

Police attended and found the vehicle was still at the scene, including the driver. Upon further investigation, it was determined the male driver had been consuming alcohol. The male was arrested and transported for further tests. The male did not sustain any injuries.

As a result of the investigation, 47 year old Shane PEARCE of Kenora has been charged with Impaired Driving and Driving with More than .80 mg of Alcohol in Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada.

He is to appear in Kenora Court on January 7, 2016 to answer to the charges.

MALE CHARGED WITH IMPAIRED DRIVING

(KENORA, ON) On Saturday November 27, 2015 at approximately 10:00 pm, Members of the Kenora Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting a RIDE program in the City of Kenora.

During the RIDE program, it was determined a male driver had been consuming alcohol. The male was arrested and transported to detachment for further tests.

As a result of the investigation, Raymond IVERSON age 42, from Kenora has been charged with Impaired Driving, Fail or Refuse to Provide a Breathe Sample and Drive while Disqualified contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He was also charged with Driving While under Suspension under the Highway Traffic Act.

He is to appear in court on January 7, 2016 to answer to the charges.
