(WINDSOR, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was called to attend a three vehicle collision on Highway 3, just south of EC Row Expressway in the City of Windsor on December 1, 2015 at approximately 7:10 p.m.
Officers arrived on scene and spoke to witnesses who indicated that a Silver Honda that had been involved in the crash had left the scene after rear ending another vehicle.
The suspect vehicle left the scene northbound on Highway 3 towards the Ambassador Bridge when it nearly struck another vehicle. Witnesses observed the suspect vehicle pull into a motel parking lot on Huron Church Road in Windsor, where police were called.
Windsor Police officers, along with OPP arrested the male who exhibited signs of impairment.
No one was injured in the crash.
Steven TAMSE, age 21 of Windsor was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Refuse to Provide Breath Sample and Fail to Stop at the Scene of an Accident. He will appear in a Windsor court on December 17, 2015 to answer to the charges.
