Drive-By Hunter Shoots Pheasant

(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment is investigating an incident after being called to an 8th Concession Road ENR, Houghton, Norfolk County, Ontario address.

On Thursday, December 3, 2015 at approximately 8:40 a.m., police received a call from a concerned resident after observing a firearm being discharged from a vehicle that was located on the roadway.

Through the course of investigation it was determined that a red coloured pick-up truck stopped on the roadway in front of an address. The driver then discharged a firearm from a vehicle at a pheasant located on the property. The driver then released a dark coloured Labrador retriever from the vehicle to retrieve the pheasant.

The concerned resident yelled out to the driver of the vehicle who then fled from the area at a high rate of speed.

Then vehicle is described as a red coloured Chevrolet pick-up truck. The driver is being described as a white male, approximately 60 years of age, full beard and heavy set wearing a t-shirt.
