(TECUMSEH, ON) — The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) in Tecumseh received a call on December 4, 2015 at approximately 9:50 p.m. regarding a vehicle on Riverside Drive East in Tecumseh near Brighton Road driving on the sidewalk.
The vehicle had struck several “no parking” signs and came to rest after striking a large wooden post housing a “pedestrian stop sign”.
The driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and began walking southbound on Brighton Road where police located him.
He exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.
Rodney DEMARS, age 38 of Lakeshore was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content. He will appear in a Windsor court at a later date to answer to the charges.
