23 Year Old Caught Going 101 in a 50

(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON) – On December 8, 2015 at approximately 7:20 a.m., a Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was monitoring traffic on the 2nd Line near Ellenville Crescent, Guelph-Eramosa Township. The officer observed a male driving a 2010 Chrysler well above the posted speed limit. The vehicle was locked on radar at approximately 101 km/h in a 50 km/h zone. Police also discovered that there was no insurance on the vehicle and the licence plate was not valid.

His driver’s licence and vehicle were seized for a period of 7 days as per statute.

23-year-old Biringanine KAYEYE of Guelph has been charged with;

Racing a Motor Vehicle-Highway Traffic Act (H.T.A.)

Operate a Motor Vehicle – No Insurance- Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act

Drive Motor Vehicle-No Validation on Plate-H.T.A.

He is to appear in Guelph Provincial Court on February 3, 2016 to answer to the charge.
