(BRANT COUNTY, ON) –Members of the Brant County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to County Road #18 between Cockshutt and Salt Springs Roads on December 13,, 2015 at approximately 6:50 a.m. to investigate a collision.
OPP investigators discovered that at cyclist had been struck by a tractor trailer on the roadway. At the time of the accident the area was experiencing rain and heavy fog making visibility very poor.
The cyclist has been transported to local hospital via ground ambulance with life threatening injuries.
The OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI) have been deployed to the scene to assist with the investigation. At this time County Road #18 between Cockshutt and Salt Springs Roads remains closed for this investigation.
