(TOWNSHIP OF NEW TECUMSETH) – At approximately 1:00 a.m., on December 16, 2015, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), received information of a serious two vehicle collision that occurred on Highway 89.
Highway 89 was closed for several hours between the 8th Line and the 9th Line of Essa Township, while the Nottawasaga OPP investigated the collision.
A vehicle that was travelling eastbound and a vehicle that was travelling westbound on Highway 89 collided head on. The 64 year old driver and the 24 year old driver were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Nottawasaga OPP and members of the Central Region Traffic Teams continue to investigate.
