Suspended Driver Runs Stop Sign – One Sent To Hospital

(ELGIN COUNTY, ON) – Police have charged a 27-year-old Windsor, ON. woman with several Highway Traffic Act offences after investigating a two vehicle collision yesterday, December 15th, 2015 at approximately 4:01p.m. The collision occurred at Talbot Line (Hwy#3) and Yarmouth Centre Rd, Central Elgin.

At the time of the collision a 32-year-old Central Elgin woman was traveling west on Talbot Line in a 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe SUB. A 2007 Pontiac car, being operated by a 27-year-old Windsor, ON. woman, had been traveling southbound on Yarmouth Centre Line. The car proceeded to pull out in front of the SUV and was struck by the SUV. (Yarmouth Centre Line controlled by a stop sign) The SUV collided with the car on the driver’s side (t-boned).

The driver of the car was transported to hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the SUV was not reported to be injured in the collision.

Both parties were wearing seatbelts.

As a result of the investigation police have charged the driver of the Pontiac car, Nada BABICH, age 27 of Windsor, ON with;

Driving While Under Suspension contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

Failing to Yield to Traffic on Thru Highway contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
