(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On December 18th, 2015 at approximately 7:40 a.m., officers with the Ontario Provincial Police observed a silver SUV stopped at a green light in Springwater Twp. The vehicle, eventually, went ahead but was observed travelling on the wrong side of the road. The motor vehicle was stopped and police quickly determined the driver was operating the motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.
33 year old John Currier of Barrie, Ontario is charged with Operating a Motor Vehicle While Ability Impaired by Alcohol CC 253(1)(a)
The accused also received a 90 day license suspension and the motor vehicle he was operating has been impounded for 7 days.
The accused has a court date of February 2, 2016 at 09:00hrs in Collingwood, Ontario
