(LEAMINGTON, ON)— On January 1, 2016 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers in Leamington received a report of a collision that had just occurred on Seacliff Drive East in Leamington where the driver of the one vehicle had fled the scene.
The suspect vehicle, a silver Dodge had rear-ended another vehicle and was followed to a residence on Evans Avenue where the driver was located and spoken to. He exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.
Evan MCKAY, age 24 of Leamington was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Exceed 80 Milligrams Blood Alcohol Content and Fail to Remain (Highway Traffic Act). He will appear in a Leamington court on January 21, 2016 to answer to the charges.
