(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Friday, January 1, 2016, Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a traffic complaint regarding vehicles being driven erratically on the Euphrasia-Holland Townline in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
At approximately 8:20 p.m. on January 1st, an OPP officer on patrol observed the headlights of a vehicle moving from left to right in a very quick manner and could hear people hollering and yelling. Police stopped the suspect vehicle, a 2005 Dodge Ram pick-up truck, with four occupants inside. A second vehicle, a 1996 Chevrolet GM4, was stopped with two occupants inside. Circular skid marks were observed on the roadway.
As a result of the investigation, 22-year old Matthew BUSCHBECK of the Municipality of Grey Highlands was charged with careless driving under the Highway Traffic Act.
The driver of the Chevrolet, an 18-year old male from Erin, Ontario received a warning regarding his driving habits.
