(CALEDON, ON) – In early December 2015, a School Resource Officer from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) was advised that a possible assault had occurred at a local school.
Officers learned through their investigation that a male teacher had physically assaulted a student. The student did not require medical attention at the time of the assault.
Police have charged a 46 year old teacher employed with the Peel District School Board with the offence of Assault. The accused’s name will not be released due to the possibility that it may identify the victim.
