(ORO-MEDONTE TOWNSHIP, ON) – On Sunday, January 3rd, 2016 at 4:47 p.m., the Barrie Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a possible drowning at a residence on Forrester Rd, in Oro-Medonte Twp.
A male had been attempting to repair a submerged water pipe in Lake Simcoe at that location prior to their arrival at the scene. Emergency Services were unable to revive the man and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The deceased was identified as 55 year old Robin CLARK of Oro-Medonte, Ontario. A Post Mortem conducted at the Centre of Forensic Sciences building in Toronto determined drowning was the cause of death.
