(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County detachment has charged a 26-year-old male after checking a vehicle at Swimming Pool Road, Windham, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, January 6, 2016 at approximately 10:54 p.m., police were conducting a R.I.D.E program (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) in the area of Swimming Pool Road and Windham Road 11, when a vehicle was stopped and checked for driver sobriety.
As a result of investigation, police have charged 26-year-old Kyle Robert GREEN of London, Ontario with driving over the legal limit, possession of Marihuana and novice driver – blood alcohol concentration above zero.
He is to appear in Provincial Court, Simcoe at a later date to answer to the charges.
“While the Festive R.I.D.E. program is over for another year, the OPP wants to remind motorists that there is no safe level of alcohol consumption when you get behind the wheel of a motor vehicle. Regular OPP R.I.D.E. programs will continue throughout the Province all year long,” comments Constable Ed Sanchuk, Norfolk County, OPP Detachment.
