(RENFREW, ON) – The Renfrew Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have recovered and returned the stolen Baby Jesus figurine which was stolen on December 27. The theft occurred from a nativity scene set up in Low Square, downtown Renfrew.
Officers received information and located the stolen figurine at a residence in Renfrew on January 5. One male was charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000. Ryan MITCHELL 22 of Renfrew was issued an appearance notice for court on February 3. Provincial Constable Mark Yarmel investigated. Officers returned the figurine to the nativity scene in the early evening on January 5.
