(NORTH BAY, ON) – On January 8, 2016, at approximately 3:20 p.m., a single motor vehicle collision was reported to the North Bay Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
The vehicle was located in the ditch on the ramp leading to Highway 17 from Highway 11, City of North Bay.
The North Bay Fire Department and North Bay and District Ambulance also attended the scene.
The driver sustained no injuries.
Upon further investigation, the driver, Michael VON DOELER, 21, Corbeil, Ontario, was arrested and charged with:
Driving While Ability Impaired-Motor Vehicle, section 253(1)(a) of the Criminal Code (CC);
Driving with More Than 80 mgs of Alcohol in Blood, section 253(1)(b) CC
Driving While Under Suspension, section 53(1) of the Highway Traffic Act
The accused was released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in North Bay on January 19, 2016.
