(GRAVENHURST, ON) – Members of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) detachment were alerted by an off-duty OPP officer on Tuesday January 12, 2016 shortly after noon that a male party was shoplifting at a Gravenhurst grocery store.
Police attended the store and located the man attempting to flee the location with a large quantity of meat in his possession.
Police have charged 31 year-old Steven GLIDDON of Gravenhurst with Theft Under $5000 CC 334(b) and Failing to Comply with Probation CC 733.1(1) X2.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Bracebridge on Wednesday January 13, 2016.
