(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment are currently on scene of a 2 (two) vehicle collision on Highway (Hwy) 3 near McFarlane Road, Cayuga, Haldimand County, ON.
On Tuesday, January 12, 2016 at approximately 7:20am, a Nissan being operated by a 23 year old woman identified as Bethany SIDER from Haldimand County, was travelling West bound on Hwy 3. A Lexus being operated by a 36 year old male identified as Jamie LAFORME from Mississauga’s of the New Credit First Nation Territory, was travelling East bound on Hwy 3. The vehicles collided and entered the South ditch. Both drivers were transported by Ambulance to Hospital.
On Friday, January 15, 2016 Bethany SIDER of Haldimand County died as a result of injuries sustained in the collision.
The OPP continues to investigate.
