(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Friday, January 15, 2016, the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit, together with members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team (ERT) and OPP West Region Tactic and Rescue Unit (TRU), assisted members of the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP and Burk’s Falls OPP in executing a search warrant at a residence on Hwy. 10 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.
As a result of an ongoing investigation, police arrested a Grey Highlands man in connection to robberies at two pharmacies; one in Omemee, Ontario and the other in Sundridge, Ontario on January 5, 2016 and January 9, 2016, respectively.
Stephen Paul KELMAN, age 33, of the Municipality of Grey Highlands, was charged with two counts of armed robbery. A bail hearing was scheduled for January 16, 2016.
