(NORTHERN BRUCE PENINSULA, ON) –On January 16, 2016, at 10:24 p.m., a Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer was on patrol at the intersection of Hayes Drive and Tackaberry Street, in the Municipality of Northern Bruce Peninsula. The officer observed a white 1992 Chevrolet pick-up truck containing a driver and three passengers; pass the cruiser and pull into a parking lot. Police approached the vehicle and found the driver had been drinking alcohol.
Joseph HAWKE, 39, of Northern Bruce Peninsula, was charged with multiple offences including; Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Over 80 mgs, Drive while Suspended, Use Plates Not Authorized and Operate a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.
The vehicle was impounded for 45 days.
He is scheduled to appear before the courts on February 11, 2016 to answer to the charges.
